"Three Painters" exhibition will end on June 15th. Gregg and I hosted the LAGUNA ART WALK night on the FIRST THURSDAY June 6th. We thank all the people who came.

Stone's creations range from tattoo-style ink work to Hispanic cultural
imagery. "Watercolor is an unforgiving media because if you make a
mistake, you can't fix it," he says. "So it's unusual to see realism
paintings in this medium. I also combine opaque watercolor with
transparent watercolor and India ink."
The Laguna Niguel artist earned a degree in illustration and design
from the Art Center College in 1978 and has been working as a painter
for the past 14 years. (in the festival) He exhibits at galleries and
cultural centers in California and Mexico, and has received numerous
awards. On display at foaSOUTH: "Silke," depicting the back tattoos of a
woman. It was purchased by the festival last year, along with four
other paintings from his tattoo series. "I hope people viewing my work
might see something different than what they're used to," Stone says. "I
find it often a mistake to have certain expectations in regards to an
exhibition, so I'm just going to hope for the best." by Wendy Bouman
*Gregg has retired from the Festival of Arts as of 2012 after 14 years
participation. The Festival of Arts purchased only "Silke" Hiroko
Gregg is showing his 1992 pieces, Heaven and Hell in gouache and pastel on canvas board. This is a real cool show just to see the installation.

"THREE
PAINTERS" Three master watercolorists from the Festival of Arts will
display their works. There is no formal reception for the exhibit, but
it will be hosted on a monthly basis for the Artwalks that occur on the
FIRST Thursdays. (nights) 1006 South Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651 Gregg and Hiroko will host June Artwalk on June 6th.
After graduating from Art Center in L.A./Pasadena Gregg worked as a freelance illustrator for various L.A. publication. He became a full-time fine artist in 1999. Gregg has been a regular exhibitor in the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach, CA. He has won many awards including several 1st places and exhibited not only in California but also extensively in Baja California, Mexico and many museums in the US. He is an experienced contest judge for US and Mexico.
