top of the dome...7
The 7th annual 'Skull Show' is exhibited at CREWEST GALLERY in Los Angeles.
Gregg and Manone came up with the "Skull Art" idea and the tradition has started in 2004. Opening was well attended as usual. The show is also featured GEORGE YEPES.
If you have access to FB, I posted a video that has over 50 skull photos. It takes about 6 min. to see all. Click on Facebook link on the right. (Hiroko)

Detras de las Courtinas
On every first Saturday of the month bring many people to the Artist Village in Santa Ana, but this night, with added attraction of local high school mariachi band brought more people than ever.
The exhibition at GRAND CENTRAL ART CENTER was energized by both participating artists and spectators. Magu's signature work 3-D "Auto" as well as Gregg's porcelain skulls were attracting people as usual. Surprised entry was made by Emigdio Vasquez's daughter, Rosemary whose work resembles very much like her dad's.
The show runs through October 30th. Take a look at calender (Exhibition Schedule) on the link for information.

PAST, CURRENT & FUTURE Exhibitions
Hiroko Came back from Japan reporting that Gregg's first solo show in Tokyo was very successful. Although she took only three original paintings and mostly reproductions, half of what she took was sold. It was amazing considering it was a cafe gallery that operates only at night and the show duration was only two weeks.
Gregg and Edgar Hoill are currently exhibiting at OCCCA. That opening brought many people, as well. This show was an invitation from Leslie Davis (Gregg's sister) who is exhibiting "Regeneration" at the main gallery. The exhibition is still on. Go and take a look if you have time. It is one of the kinds.
Gregg and Edgar are also currently exhibiting at the PASADENA MUSEUM OF CALIFORNIA ARTISTS. The exhibition closes July 3rd.
With an invitation by Pat Sparkuhl, Gregg will be showing at Chapman University's
Guggenheim Gallery. The reception will be held on July 10th 5-8 pm.
