Artists Collaborate for "Marginal Lives" exhibit at Gallery 1927 in the Fine Arts Building, May 2012 - Gregg Stone’s masterful manipulation of watercolors and ink creates life-like quality paintings that must be viewed in person to distinguish. Born in California of Mexican descent, Gregg, a 1978 graduate of Pasadena's Art Center College of Design, has won numerous awards and exhibits both nationally and internationally. As if born with a camera in his hand, photographer and art book publisher Edgar Hoill shoots his subjects instinctively. The Guadalajara native exhibits around the world. Featuring two artists exploring the same subjects in different mediums, “Marginal Lives” by this powerful duo is a must-see exhibition this month. 3blindmice

'3blindmice' (Three Blind Mice)opening night was absolutely fabulous!
We would like to thank the gallery owner Antonio Mejia and co-exhibitor, Johnnie Dominguez. But most of all the people who came to see.
Gregg and Johnnie have done two collaboration works:"Helmet" and "Day of Dominguez".
Arbol de Basula (see the previous entry) will welcome you as you enter. I personally think this amusing sculpture represents Gregg himself; playful, spontaneous and thoughtful. "I've done all that," he said pointing at cigarette butts, syringe, candy wraps, alcohol bottles on broken skateboard......Gregg found just about all material on the street near our house.
COME AND SEE THE SHOW THAT WILL CONTINUE TILL JUNE.
Gallery hours varies, so make sure to contact Antonio at (626)664-8957 before you
visit.
